A very fine 9mm P08 Luger Pistol marked Mauser Banner and dated 1939, no 24** . Safety marked “RUST” and Geladen to the extractor.
Condition: The pistol still retains 90%+ of its original condition, original blue to the outside and 50% of the straw finish to the small parts. The bore shows signs of being used, with clear lands to the rifling but small marks in the grooves. All matching numbers; the pistol retains its original Haenel-Schmeisser magazine which is not numbered at all. This pistol is a rare example of the Mauser contract delivered to the Dutch Navy prior to WWII; it forms one of a batch of 500 pistols delivered just before the outbreak of war. Other than any pistols that gravitated to the Far East, the remaining pistols from this batch and a further one are believed to have been simulated into the Germany Army after the conquest of Holland.
Category: The pistol can be held as Section 7:3, otherwise Section 5, and an Export Licence is required.
