Gewehr 98A Bolt Action Rifle – Ref 1840
8 x 57mm Gewehr 98A Bolt Action rifle produced by the Polish Arms Factory No 2, circa 1933. Serial no 27**. This rifle is fine and rare; it bears Polish pre-war proofs as well as recent British CIP Proof. The rifle is of the format of the original German Gewehr 98 but with the later flat rearsight, although it retains the straight bolt. Condition: it is very clean throughout with very few signs of pitting or corrosion; it retains some 80% of its original finish and crisp markings both to the rifle and to the butt. The bore is fine with little wear or corrosion.
