A particularly fine presentation set of percussion target or duelling pistols by Kemp Leddell & Co.  The whole with finely engraved silver plated mounts, plated and engraved case furniture, the green velvet lined mahogany case with inscribed plate:  “Presented by The London Rifle Volunteer Brigade to the Founder and First Commanding Officer Lieut Colonel George Montagu Hicks together with a Charger fully Caparisoned, February 1860”.  Together with the London Rifle Volunteer Brigade Crest to the Escutcheon.  The pistols of half stock Purdey style with ramrods, brown twist octagonal barrels with 2 groove rifling well.  The whole set with its original accessories in extremely fine condition.
