9mm Model 1908 (Lang) Artillery Luger Pistol, dated 1917 (Ref 5585)
Details:
The pistol comes with a (Lang) holster which is unaltered but missing its leather pull toggle. The pistol has its matching magazine, all number match, but the side plate appears to be a contemporary renumber. Unusually for these pistols, this one has a schiwy safety to lock the sear when the gun is dismantled. These safeties were normally fitted during the Weimar Republic period and we have not seen one on a 08 Lang before.
Condition:
Approximately 80-85% finish with some marks and fading to the top of the chamber and the side plate. The bore is commensurate with use, rifling is clear but there are marks and fading. Straw finish has faded almost entirely to patina.
Licence: Section 7.3 weapon in the UK (prohibited except to holders of Section 7 collector’s firearm certificate). Export licence required to send abroad. Restrictions on movement other than by Section 5 carrier in the UK
Price: £1,635.00
